2018 Quilt Show!

The date for the guild’s fall 2018 Quilt Show is yet to be determined.

Friday, October 28 – 9 am to 5 pm
Saturday, October 29 – 9 am to 4 pm
Admission – $5.00

Talbert Recreation Center 
210 Talbert Pointe Drive
Mooresville, NC

Over 200 quilts and other quilted items will be judged and on display.  A boutique
with many handmade items available for purchase, chance baskets and vendors
all add to the fun of attending the show.  This years’ donation quilt in beautiful
batiks was made by guild members using Edyta Sitars’ Spring Sprouts pattern.
A special historical display entitled, “They Couldn’t Vote, They Got The
Vote, You Should Vote” is being presented in this election year.
Red, white and blue blocks named after famous women were made
and added to the display along with pictures of great-grandmothers,
grandmothers and mothers, all of whom were affected by the right to vote.
A display of antique sewing machines, sewing items and antique quilts will
also be shown. There will be demonstrations both Friday and Saturday. Hand
quilting demonstrations will continue throughout the show.

From I-77 take Exit 36
At the end of the ramp, turn East onto West Plaza Drive/ NC-150
Turn left at the traffice light onto Talbert Road
Talbert Road turns into Talbert Pointe Drive
The Recreation Center is on the right.
